Cookie Policy
Last updated: 5 July 2026
This policy explains what cookies (and similar technologies) the BYOB.asia website uses and why. We've kept it short because we use very few.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are commonly used to remember preferences, keep you signed in, or track behaviour for advertising. Browsers let you view, block, or delete them at any time.
2. Our stance
We don't use cookies for advertising, retargeting, behavioural profiling, or cross-site tracking. We use Google Analytics to measure aggregate traffic (page views, referrers, rough geography) so we can improve the site. Our hosting provider also sets a single first-party visitor cookie for platform analytics.
3. Cookies we do use
These are the only cookies set by this site:
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga |
Google Analytics | Assigns a randomly generated client ID used to distinguish unique visitors so we can measure aggregate site usage. | 2 years |
_ga_DHQZT9RW6X |
Google Analytics | Google Analytics 4 property-specific cookie. Persists session state for our GA4 property (ID G-DHQZT9RW6X). |
2 years |
4. Third-party embeds
Aside from the Google Analytics tag listed in section 3, this website does not embed any third-party iframes or widgets that set their own cookies. When you tap a WhatsApp or Telegram link, you are redirected to those apps — any cookies they set are governed by their own policies and apply only within their platforms, not on this website.
5. Managing cookies
All major browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies at any time:
Blocking strictly-necessary cookies may break form submissions or trigger repeated security challenges, but it will not stop you from browsing the site.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the latest revision.
